Gayl is creative. Period. She has been honored by some of advertising’s most prestigious and selective competitions – Clio Awards, New York Art Directors Club, Communication Arts magazine, the American Advertising Federation’s ADDY Awards, and Graphis magazine. She was also named one of Adweek’s “Women on the Rise” and “Best Television Art Director in the Southwest.”
Gayl has always focused on the big picture of a client’s marketing objectives, fashioning integrated campaigns across every conceivable medium. She loves taking on big projects and is proud of leading the recent efforts for the UTHealth Houston campaign. It’s been a career-long goal of hers for the agency to land the Blue Bell account, and achieving that goal could not have been sweeter. Gayl has managed to bring insight and creativity to each and every client she works on – all while raising two children, who also happen to be in the ad business. Of course, Gayl’s greatest achievement may be working alongside her co-principal and husband, Chuck Carlberg, for an incredible 45 years.
