When Mahindra Tractors first came to us in 2000, they were faced with trying to sell an Indian-made, “foreign-sounding” tractor to “salt-of-the-earth” Americans. At the time, Mahindra had one North American assembly/distribution center and were only selling 500 tractors a year in the entire U.S.
